Every game we sell shows its PEGI rating, and it is worth two minutes to understand what those numbers mean. PEGI is the age-rating system used across the UK and most of Europe, and it is about content, not difficulty.
The number — 3, 7, 12, 16 or 18 — is the minimum recommended age. Small symbols on the box add detail: a fist for violence, a spider for fear, a card icon for simulated gambling, and so on. A PEGI 12 with a violence symbol is very different from a PEGI 12 with only mild language.
A rating is a guide, not a wall. You know your child better than a label does. But the symbols are a quick, honest way to check whether a game matches what you are comfortable with before it goes in the basket.
